Not just books - libraries for supporting entrepreneurship!

In project NGO Creative Ideas, Balvi municipality and Dedovichi District central library will join forces to facilitate entrepreneurship in North Latgale, Latvia, and Dedovichi district and Pskov region, Russia, by strengthening and expanding business support system and involving libraries in raising entrepreneurship skills and spirit.

The project includes international and local activities-experience exchange, improvement of services, infrastructure and equipment, as well as series of activities to individually support businesses and facilitate entrepreneurship. 3 business development organisations and 40 small enterprises will be substantially involved and benefit from the project, more than 120 persons will take part in the project activities. 3 premises will undergo renovation and 5 premises will be improved with equipment and furniture for training, meetings and networking of local businesses.

The project takes place from the 31st May 2019 and will last 24 months. Total project budget is 250 000 EUR. Сo-financing of Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 is 225 000 EUR (90%). The Latvian state budget cofinances the project (5%) for the Latvian partners. The project budget for Creative Ideas is 109 127,55 EUR. Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 is cofinanced by the European Union, the Republic of Latvia and the Russian Federation.
